Greetings KRBK Fans!
We're testing out a new feature by creating leaflet newsletters. Monthly newsletters were something I (Hyuge) have been considering since the end of last year, as it was suggested to me via a different fandom, but I wasn't sure the best way to implement them. Leaflet allows you to subscribe and get notified when new posts are created, and it even adds a custom feed to your Bluesky.
With that in mind, we may move away from Carrd in the future to just posting event/account details here. We'll see how it goes in the coming months. As far as actual events, the summer has been busy, busy, busy. We're looking forward to things winding down a bit as fall approaches.
KRBK Month is always our busiest event. With August officially being over, we had many wonderful artists and writers creating works. Be sure to check out everything that was posted and give the fandom some love! KRBK Month will be back August 1st, 2026.
Our Summer Reading Challenge just wrapped up its second year! There were a lot of wonderful fics shared that people read. We don't have any official numbers, but from the certificates that were earned this year, we had roughly six million words logged of people reading KRBK fanfiction. INCREDIBLE! Summer Reading will be back June 1st, 2026.
The Advent Calendar had prompt matchup emails sent last week and yesterday was the deadline to confirm participation. Our first check-in for those participating will run from Sept. 21st - 27th. Keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder for the check-in email.
Soundtrack Week is a new event being hosted by mod Yza. Running from November 3rd - 9th, bust out those playlists to get some inspiration and make sweet, sweet KRBK music. ~
Candy Crush Exchange will officially launch with full details September 4th. Keep your eyes peeled for signups opening October 4th! This will be a tooth-rottingly sweet Valentine's Exchange.
Cuddles Week will be returning November 16th - 22nd. Hosted by Stelly over on her social media accounts, you can check out the prompt list and join in on all the cuddly KRBK action.
Lastly, claims for the 20K Big Bang opened yesterday and will run until Thursday, September 4th. We're very excited to get claims underway and finally pair up our amazing long-fiction writers with eager artists and beta readers. Keep your eyes peeled come November! Previews will be posted the 16th - 22nd and completed works will be out November 23rd - 30th.
